Following the tragic events which Japan endured in 2011, Switzerland opted to progressively phase out nuclear power over the coming years. The Federal Council has elaborated a strategy so that this can be possible by 2050. Regarding communication, it was decided to make educational but light-hearted films aimed at the youth of society in order to clearly explain the challenges which will have to be met over the coming 40 years.
Work was carried out with Thierry Weber, head of the Breew agency, on different scripted and visual ideas.
Breew and DETEC came up with the different messages to be conveyed which allowed us to base our thinking on the different visual aspects of the production. We decided to create a sketched central character brought to life through 2D. A voiceover would equally support the images and explain the different measures to be taken from an energy standpoint over the coming decades.
Piloting the communicative project
The Breew agency, based in Lausanne and the initiator of the project, had to convince DETEC for the creation of modern communication supports.
